Who we are
Founded by Zimbabwean musician Jah Prayzah and originally registered as the Mukudzeyi Mukombe Foundation, we rebranded to the Wagwizi Community Foundation in June 2026 to reflect a shift from a founder-centred identity to a broader, community-driven movement. Our guiding motto is “KUBATIRANA KWEZVANZA, KURERUTSA NDIMA” — working together lightens the load.
To transform lives through education, healthcare, and sustainable opportunity — delivered with dignity.
Thriving, self-reliant Zimbabwean communities where every child can dream without limits.
Registered as a Private Voluntary Organisation under the Private Voluntary Organisations Act [Chapter 17:05], Registration No. PVO 123/26.

What guides us
Founded by Zimbabwean musician and philanthropist Jah Prayzah, the foundation keeps people — not headlines — at the centre of every decision.
We serve every person with respect, never charity for its own sake.
Local voices lead every project from design to delivery.
Every dollar is accounted for and every outcome measured.
We build capacity that outlives any single programme.

Founder's Message
Music has always been my way of connecting with people. But early on, I realised that the real work is about the communities that inspired my songs. When we started in 2019, it was about school feeding programs. Over the years, we have expanded to healthcare, academies and borehole projects across Zimbabwe.
Rebranding to the Wagwizi Community Foundation in 2026 represents a shift towards an inclusive, community-driven movement. I am just a founder and donor, but it is your hands that build the future.
“Working together lightens the load.” Let us walk this path together, hand in hand, to build self-reliant communities.
